About Me

When it comes to learning about the Ancient World, there are a variety of issues affecting academia.  This means that the style of research and scholarship is constantly changing.  My aim is to reflect this dynamism in the academic world through regular posts about new and innovative research and archaeological projects and demonstrate the changing face of Classics around the world with book reviews, news and updates about structural changes in learning methodologies.

From the study of Ancient Greece and Rome, students can come to understand how some of the founding socio-cultural and socio-political issues of the western world developed from inception through the archaic, classical and late antique periods.  They can also study art, architecture and archaeology and learn how the geography of the ancient Mediterranean Sea affected the progress of civilizations.

Finally, it is with insatiable curiosity that I continue learning about the Ancient Mediterranean world, its people and its history.
